Pakistan’s 1st Next-Gen AI Flagship SUV to Launch Next Month

Pakistan’s automotive market could soon welcome the OMODA 4, a technology-focused compact SUV from Nishat Group’s NexGen Auto, featuring an artificial intelligence-powered cockpit designed to respond to voice commands and coordinate multiple vehicle functions. The model has been slated for introduction in Pakistan during 2026, although the company has not publicly confirmed an exact November launch date, local pricing or the final specifications for Pakistani buyers. <Cite refs={["turn924290search0","turn924290search3","turn924290search5"]}/>
OMODA 4 Brings AI-Focused Technology to Pakistan’s SUV Market
The OMODA 4, also known as the OMODA C4 in some markets, is part of Chinese automaker Chery’s OMODA brand. In Pakistan, the vehicle is expected to be introduced by NexGen Auto, the automotive venture associated with Nishat Group that already markets OMODA and JAECOO vehicles locally.
The company showcased the model and its technology at the OMODA SUPER AI NIGHT event in Jakarta, Indonesia, on July 27, 2026. Its Pakistani website subsequently listed the vehicle among the upcoming additions to the local lineup.
Unlike conventional vehicle launches that focus primarily on engine performance, exterior design and cabin equipment, OMODA has placed considerable emphasis on the 4’s AI-enabled cockpit. The company is positioning the SUV around connected functions, voice interaction and a more integrated digital driving experience.
The model is aimed at buyers seeking a modern crossover with technology features that extend beyond the infotainment screen. However, its ultimate appeal in Pakistan will depend on the equipment included in the local version and the price at which it enters the market.
What the Super AI Cockpit Can Do
OMODA has described the 4’s Super AI Cockpit as a system built around 10 coordinated AI agents. The technology is intended to allow drivers to issue natural-language commands that can trigger several compatible vehicle functions through a single instruction.
For example, the system has been presented as capable of coordinating requests involving air-conditioning, window controls, seat ventilation, ambient lighting and music playback. Instead of issuing separate commands for each function, a driver could potentially combine them into a single request, subject to the capabilities of the specific vehicle configuration.
The cockpit concept also includes intelligent navigation intended to support multi-stop journeys. Such functions could make the vehicle easier to operate by reducing the number of manual interactions needed to adjust settings while driving.
Nevertheless, AI branding does not automatically establish how well a system works in everyday conditions. Recognition accuracy, language support, response times and the ability to operate without a reliable internet connection can all affect the user experience.
OMODA has discussed multilingual capabilities for the system, but the availability of Urdu or other locally relevant languages in Pakistan has not been confirmed. The company has also yet to publish a complete local specification sheet establishing which AI functions will be available at launch.
A Distinctive Design and Digital-Focused Interior
The OMODA 4 uses the brand’s CYBER MECHA design language, with sharply sculpted bodywork, angular styling and distinctive lighting intended to differentiate it from more conventional compact SUVs.
The exterior follows a sportier, technology-oriented approach, while the cabin concept places emphasis on digital interaction and connected entertainment. OMODA has described the interior as a flexible space designed around activities such as music, gaming and social interaction.
The model has also been presented with an F1-inspired flip-up ignition button and a design intended to appeal to younger consumers. These features form part of its identity as a lifestyle-oriented crossover rather than a purely practical family vehicle.
For Pakistani buyers, the more important questions will include cabin space, visibility, ride comfort, ground clearance, safety equipment and the durability of interior materials. These factors can be particularly relevant when a vehicle is expected to serve as a daily driver on roads with varying conditions.
The final assessment will require confirmation of the Pakistani model’s actual equipment and an opportunity to evaluate the vehicle locally.
Hybrid and Electric Versions Are Available Internationally
Internationally, the OMODA 4 has been presented as part of a broader lineup that includes battery-electric and hybrid powertrains. The precise combination intended for Pakistan has not yet been officially confirmed.
That distinction matters in a market where buyers increasingly compare conventional petrol vehicles with hybrids, plug-in hybrids and fully electric alternatives. Each powertrain offers a different balance of running costs, purchase price, maintenance requirements and dependence on charging infrastructure.
A hybrid can reduce petrol consumption without requiring regular external charging, while a battery-electric vehicle eliminates petrol use during driving but depends on access to charging facilities and suitable journey planning. A plug-in hybrid offers another option, combining an electric-driving capability with a petrol engine.
For the OMODA 4, the choice of powertrain will influence its competitiveness as much as its AI features. Buyers will need verified information about engine or motor output, battery capacity where applicable, fuel economy or electric range, warranty coverage and maintenance costs before making a purchase decision.
Pakistan Launch Timeline and Expected Price
NexGen Auto has previously indicated that the OMODA 4 would come to Pakistan during 2026. In September, PakWheels reported spotting an OMODA C4 EV undergoing testing in Lahore, providing further evidence that a version of the model was being evaluated locally. However, the sighting did not establish a confirmed commercial launch date.
As of October 13, the manufacturer's public announcements have not established an exact November launch date or a confirmed Pakistani price. The headline’s reference to a launch next month should therefore be treated as an expectation rather than a confirmed schedule.
Pricing will be especially important because the company already sells the larger OMODA 7 SHS-P in Pakistan. NexGen Auto announced an ex-factory price of Rs 10,649,000 for that plug-in hybrid SUV in August 2026. The OMODA 4’s positioning will depend on whether it enters the market at a substantially lower price and which powertrain and equipment package it offers.
Taxes, registration charges, insurance and financing costs will also affect the amount buyers ultimately pay. No reliable local price estimate should be treated as final until the company publishes its official announcement.
Competition in Pakistan’s Technology-Focused SUV Market
The OMODA 4 is approaching a market where electrified SUVs are becoming increasingly prominent. Established manufacturers and newer Chinese automotive brands are competing through hybrid powertrains, larger infotainment systems, driver-assistance features and increasingly connected cabins.
NexGen Auto has already expanded its Pakistani portfolio with models from OMODA, JAECOO and iCAUR. The company’s local manufacturing and assembly activities also give it an existing operational presence rather than making the OMODA 4 an entirely new market entry for the group.
The SUV’s AI capabilities could help distinguish it from rivals, but the feature list alone will not determine whether it succeeds. Buyers will also consider after-sales support, spare-parts availability, resale value, software updates and the reliability of the vehicle’s electronic systems.
The next developments to watch are the official Pakistani launch date, confirmation of the available powertrain, local specifications and the booking price. Those details will establish whether the OMODA 4 arrives as a competitively priced technology-focused crossover or occupies a more premium position in Pakistan’s expanding SUV market.
